I can hear the school bell ring as the kids rush the doors to start one of the biggest days of their year. The day I speak of is the first day of school. Just like a first day at a new job, the first day of school comes with a great deal of mixed emotions. The first day for many provides a fresh start or expectations to continue to operate at a high level, and for some to hopefully raise the bar and maybe even surprise peers. That being said a child's first day can be everything from exciting, to scary, to fun, to adventuresome, to downright terrifying. As a parent you can only hope that all the training, manners, and experiences you have offered them thus far will skew their first day towards exhilarating and away from terrifying.
As an image consultant I am constantly scoping the outside world to find opportunities to make peoples lives a little easier. Therefore it seemed appropriate to develop a guide for Back to School shopping. What is "cool" at the moment and what sorts of styles have staying power? I attended a trend conference this spring. At my trend conference we discussed what is currently on point as well as what has staying power. From that area we go on to discuss what sorts of things our on the horizon. Obviously, this is a large topic however, I have compressed it into a few points to make life easier.
